Hello loyal readers and welcome! It is that time of the year again where we look back on what came before and look ahead to what we may expect. In 2022 we slowly left the pandemic behind us and finally ventured outside again and into concert halls, which means our list of favourite gigs can finally make a return. Of course, there was more than enough time throughout the year to check out new releases and share our thoughts about those as well, and as eclectic a blog as we try to be, there is bound to be something below that you like as well. Maybe you’ve missed something along the road, maybe there’s something you’ve been meaning to check out but haven’t come around to yet? Time then to check out our lists, let’s go.

Hey all! Did you hear about this pandemic going on? It’s another year of social distancing and lockdowns we’re about to end in the hope that 2022 will finally be better and bring some light at the end of that two-year tunnel. In the meantime, we’ve been doing what we do best and that’s sitting inside and listening to music. Old music, new music, you name it and we’ve listened to it. We also wrote some words about a couple of new records and, as we do every year, have compiled two lists of albums we think you should check out, which you can find below. Enjoy.

Album Year List (2020)
2020, in a lot of ways, was a massive clusterfuck of a year. As it gradually progressed, we were more and more trapped inside. Concerts and festivals were understandably cancelled or indefinitely postponed and with only one proper concert under our collective belts, we here at Sounds from the Dark Side have seen better, more productive and overall happier times. The upside, as always, is the same: at least we still have music. And because staying at home provides with a lot more time to actually sit down and listen to albums, we’ve extended this year’s album lists with an extra ten entries each, giving you even more stuff to check out. Here we go.
