David Bowie - The Next Day

David Bowie – The Next Day – Perhaps the comeback of the century, with a Bowie returning to the music scene with a triumphantly excellent album that combines the old with the contemporary (RP – SftDS review).

Push-The-Sky-Away

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away – After picking up the shards of the past, the band carefully resurrects itself and proves to be ready to face future. Maybe the start is hesitant but eventually it turns out the countless small gestures make Push The Sky Away utmost beautiful (WRM – SftDS review).

Chthonic-Bú-Tik 300x300

Chthonic – Bú-Tik – The new album from one of the finest metal bands from Taiwan, melding brutal black metal and traditional Taiwanese music to a coherent and captivating whole (RP).

Deerhunter-Monomania 300x300Deerhunter – Monomania – Once more Deerhunter created another highlight in their already impressive catalog. Monomania is full of fine melodies for the masses, yet its avant-gardist rationale will please the critics as well (WRM).

JacJacco Gardner 300x300co Gardner – Cabinet of Curiosities – This Dutch multi-instrumentalist successfully puts psychedelica on the map again. Neat album that is highly listenable and simultaneously will capture your imagination (WRM).

Ghost - InfestissumamGhost – Infestissumam – The satanic anti-beatles’ newest album features a more slick and retro sounding promo-metal, but that only makes for a better album (RP – SftDS review).

The Heliocentrics - 13 Degrees of Reality_coverThe Heliocentrics – 13 Degrees of Reality – Out of the box jazz-funk that’s strongly backed up by lingering exotica and dark mystics. Recommended to anyone who is able to handle borderless eclecticism (WRM – SftDS review).

Kvelertak-Meir 300x300
Kvelertak – Meir – A terrific combination of rock ‘n roll and gritty black metal, and a surprisingly catchy album (RP).

Lola Montez (front)

Lola Montez – Kolaveri Di – Schizophrenic, noisy, versatile, speedy and barking dogs are some of the elements that typify Kolaveri Di best. Lola Montez combine fun, form and function and blows new life into the punk genre (WRM – SftDS review).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summoning - Old Mornings DawnSummoning – Old Mornings Dawn – An atmosperic, multi-layered black metal symphony, taking the term ‘fantasy metal’ to an entire new level (RP – SftDS review).
